OK. Since last year, I got it converted to a 1 x 11 SRAM NX drivetrain. It is awesome! New, more grippy tires are on the way...Other things that would make it better and more versatile would be an air fork, and a dropper post friendly seat tube.
Comments:
I been riding it for 6 months. Fun bike to ride. Best hard tail for the money.

Comments:
Great bike, everything on this bike is amazing except for the tires which i wore down after 4 months of everyday use of pavement/light trail use. back tire completely worn down. Front suspension is better than any suntour fork on entry level bike(in my opinion). Bike shifts smooth as butter!
Pros
- Eye candy, fun, comfortable, roomy, lightweight
Cons
- Tires
Best Uses
- Commute, trail riding
Comments:
Bought this bike as a spare bike for when my full susp is in the shop, and to rip through the easy moderate trails near my house. I love it! I felt instantly at home on this bike right from the first ride. I found it easy to move around and the 29er wheels are definitely nice. The Tektro brakes are awesome and really grabby. Made a few upgrades to really make it my own and comfy, new saddle, lock on grips, crank brother pedals. Next year, I'll put new better tires on and probably convert it to 1 x 11. There's days I prefer it to my full susp. I will enjoy this bike for a long time!

Comments:
On or off trail a comfortable durable bike. I love the adjustable front suspension. I did change the stock seat which was verrrry uncomfortable for me. The disc brakes stop on a dime. I has a Marlin 6 and like this one much better. Can't beat it for the price...

Great bike, if you are contemplating getting this bike then GO FOR IT! Highly recommend. If you are deciding between the Marlin 6 and 7, get the 7; the suspension control makes it worth your money. All around great bike!
